Most responses in the Prompt node are in Markdown format. You can also generate responses to match specific schemas for integration with other nodes or APIs.

Enabling Formats

The default response format is text. Change this to anything else to enable formatted outputs (also called “Structured Outputs” by most language model docs).

Format Types

You can generate responses in several different formats:

• Text: default markdown responses
• Number: constrain output to numerical responses only
• Boolean: constrain output to true / false values only. This is useful for using prompts for flow control.
• Object: constrain output to objects that match a specified schema
• Array: output a list with a specified type
• Enum: constrain output to one of a list of options
• Request: constrain output to an object in API request format (url, method, header, body)
